Makin' Today Fabulous: Make Your Own Halloween Count Down!

My friend Janiel made and gave me this cute Spooky Count Down!  I love it, but my kids absolutely think it's the best thing ever!  She made it out of 3 wood blocks, two squares and one smaller rectangle to set the squares on.  Then she painted the blocks black.  She then used scrapbook paper to give each block its own character.  Then she used vinyl lettering to put on the letters and numbers.  My kids loving changing the numbers each day and seeing that Halloween is getting closer and closer!

Haunted Dinosaur Park: Members Night + Members Get FREE ticket to Discovery Gateway

We have had memberships to Ogden's Dinosaur Park for about 3 years now.  My kids love it.  The highlight of the year is their Haunted Dinosaur Park!  This year they are having their members night on Friday, October 8th, where members, age 2-12, will receive a FREE ticket to Discovery Gateway ($8.50 value)  while supplies last. Members do have to pay half price admission to come to the Haunted Dinosaur Park, but each year we go we end up with about $10-$20 worth of FREE coupons per kid, so it makes it more than worth it.

If you're not a member, the other nights of the Haunted Dinosaur Park this year will be October 9th, 15th, 16th, 21st, 23rd, 28th and 29th, from 7:00 to 9:30pm.  Don't forget to dress your kids up in costumes, they have a costume contest nightly at 8:30pm.  Two years ago my kiddos won (they were dressed like Mickey and Minnie Mouse) and the prizes were awesome!
