If your baby is currently using Similac baby formula, before you use any more, make sure you know about the Similac Voluntary Recall. Here is the email I received from Parenting.com:
Infant Formula Recall You Should Know About
If you feed your baby formula, it's time to check your cabinets. Certain Similac-brand powder infant formulas are being voluntarily recalled following an internal quality review, which detected the possibility of the presence of a small common beetle in the product. The United States Food and Drug Adminstration (FDA) has determined that while the formula containing these beetles poses no immediate health risk, it's possible that infants who consume formula containing the beetles or their larvae could experience symptoms of gastrointestinal discomfort and refuse to eat. Find out more about this Similac formula recall -- including which lot numbers are affected and how to get your money back.
Head on over here for more details.
